Pio's Proverb 20: Celebrate Freedom on July 4th, 2011

As I see and hear fireworks and big booms, I join in the celebration of our freedom from England in 1776. But today what are we celebrating our freedom from whom?   And for whom is the freedom that we are celebrating? When Bejamin Franklin proposed and won acceptance of his proposal to appoint a chaplain for Congress to lead Congress in a prayer everytime a session or convening of the Congress was began and was held, he was exercising freedom of religion - NOT freedom from religion as is now interpreted by separation of church and state. The founding fathers did not mean separation of church from the state. To see how far this freedom of religion has deteriorated, a new decree has been issued that at all military funerals, the word, God, and Jesus Christ may not be mentioned. But the soldier died for God and Country; but now God cannot be mentioned at his funeral. Is this not denying the soldier of his rights to a Christian burial?   Recently the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag on national TV omitted the words: "under God".  When President Obama gives a speech 5 times in succession and quoted the famous lines "inalienable rights to life, life, liberty and pursuit of happiness," he left out each time the words: "endowed by the Creator".  That cannot be by accident.   There are those who want to get rid of the word: "In God we trust" off of our  money.  Does freedom mean that we can do what we want or does it mean freedom to do what we ought?   Additionally, if you were to count every soldier who died for country from the Revolutionary War, Indian wars, War of 1812, Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War, War in Iraq - all - those casualties would NOT equal the 60,000,000 babies we have killed by abortion since Roe v Wade in 1973.  These babies have the "right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness" and those rights are "endowed by the Creator". But we celebrate freedom for whom today?  Certainly we do not celebrate freedom for the unborn who are denied the right to life every day. Each day in the US., the same amount of babies are killed as those people who died in 7/11.  We were all horrified at the loss of life on 9/11; but this happens everyday for the unborn and no one notices or cares.
So as we celebrate the Freedom of July 4th, 1776, let us understand that we have less freedom today than the citizen is 1771.  We have thronw out freedom of religion, freedom to be born, freedom to be buried in a Christian service. We do not have the freedom to have the 10 Commandments in our Court House nor are we allowed to have prayer in the schools. Mr. Benjamin Franklin, what would you do if you saw all these murders of innocent children in the womb?

Dear Creator of the Universe, Creator of all of us in these United States of America, You have given us the beautiful land "from sea to shinning sea",  please forgive our ungodliness and forgetfulness of Your Holy Name and Your Holy 10 Commandments. We break Your 5th Commandment 7,000 times a day by killing unborn innocent children in the womb. Forgive us, Father, and correct those who allow children in the womb to be killed and use Federal dollars to do so...to fund Planned Parenthood, the Angel of Death. Save Your children, Father, and send prophets to speak out and protect the unborn. Restore this Nation to its original intent to allow everyone the "Right to Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness!"  All this we ask in Jesus' Name.   Give us a truly happy 4th of July with "liberty and justice for all!"  In Jesus' Name, I pray. AMen!
