Pio's Proverb 38: An intervew with Jesus!
If some one told you that Jesus was staying in the home of a friend down the street, soon the word would get out and people would be lined up 3 times around the block. The mobile TV news teams would be there around the clock: 24/7. The 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm news would be full of Jesus. Can you just see and and hear an interview with Jesus as the news man asks Jesus: "Do you feel people are following Your words in their lives these days or are many making up their own Christianity as they go?" And Jesus would say: "I am here always. I am so close that if you are sharing all that is in your heart with Me, then you will know by My Holy Spirit that you are with Me - not behind nor ahead of Me." And the news man will venture to ask Jesus further: "How can we know You are close to us? We cannot see You." And Jesus would say, "You can see Me and be with me for sure and with absolute certainty because I said to My disciples: 'I will be with you always even to the end of the ages.'" Jesus would pause and continue: "How can you say you cannot see Me. If you had true faith, you would see Me in the poor, in your neighbor, in your Muslim and Jewish brothers and sisters, in the unborn and their mothers who need you help them and to save them from abortion which so hurts to Father who creates all life. All life is sacred. You would even see Me in your very self because I am within you by the Holy Spirit. But most of all I can be seen with the eyes of faith in the Holy Eucharist which is truly Me. I wait for you in the tabernacle - but no one is lined up around the block to see me. I am also physically and totally Present at every Mass you attend. But be careful to be free of serious sin to receive me. At Mass the priest brings me down by the power of the Holy Spirit to be your food. It is Me - My Body, My Blood, My Soul, My Divinity. Do you really believe this?" [John 651-7] The news man will say: "I believe You are here now, and I am seeing You." Jesus responds: "I am no less in the Holy Eucharist than I am here now before you. You believe because you see me; blessed are those who have not seen but believe." The news man concluded the interview by saying on camera: "My Lord and My God!"
