Pio's Proverb 71: "Beautifying the world: one lawn at a time."

I came home today and was surprised to find my lawn manicured and beatiful. I do have it cut every two weeks; but for some reason, it just took me by surprise because while I was away, someone had been working on my lawn so professionally.  I know the owner of Imagine Lawn Service. He is Chad and does much of the work himself with his right-hand man, Tom.  I saw him today working on another lawn and thanked him for his work and great care. I told him: "Chad, you are beautifying the world!"  And he completing my sentence with: "one lawn at a time." Actually, the Company motto is: "Beautiful Lawns with Personalized Service". This motto is true; but the motto should read: "Beautifying the World One Lawn at a time." Chad and Tom are not mere lawn-care people, they are artists who beautify the world with their great skill and loving care. [Chad is on 586-716-0398.]

Gardening and personal lawn care really go way back. Adam and Even had a garden which God gave them to tend. This was not suppose to be work but play. Did adam and Eve have a lawn? Probably not as we know it; but they may have had some grass in their garden. I wonder how they cared for it. They did not have any machinery. It was all by hand. Did they have shovels or rakes or cultivating tools?  I don't know; but I know that the Father gave them both the garden and the task to care for it. He does the same to us. He gives most of us a plot of ground [mine is 100 feet X 100 feet] to care for. Actually our life is the garden He gives to everyone to care for. We are given much time to make it beautiful. How does the Seed of His Word grown in our garden. Does it yield 30, 60 or a 100 fold?  We have no choice to care for our garden. If we don't, and the weeds and trees take over, we will get a ticket from the City. We will be warned by God to shape up our garden before it is too late. He does this lovingly.

When we put our hands into the soil , we are putting them into the earth and into the universe. Gardening is the best hobby every invented; and it is the FIRST hobby ever invented!

Happy gardening!

Love, Pio
