225:The Evil of Suicide is very great! Life is a gift from God! Please cherish your life! "Whatever you do to the least of my brethern, you do to Me!" says Jesus. So whatever harm you do to yourself, you do to Him! Love and cherish who you are.  Please scroll back in my blogs and see "Suicide: Q and A". Also, let us look at the Catechism of the Catholic for teaching on suicide:

2280 "Everyone is responsible for his (her) life before God who has given it to him (her). It is God who remains the sovereign Master of life. We are obliged to accept life gratefully and preserve it for his honor and the salvation of our souls. We are stewards, not owners, of the life God has entrusted to us. It is not ours to dispose of."

It did not fare well with the steward who burried his one talent in the ground till his Master's return. That talent is our life. We must live our life gratefully!

2281 "Suicide contradicts the natural incli ation of the human being to preserve and perpetuate his (her) life. It is gravely contrary to the just love of self. It likewise
offends love of neighbor because it unjustly breaks the ties of solidarity with family, nation and other human societies to which we continue to have obligations. Suicide IS CONTRARY TO LOVE FOR THE LIVING GOD."

2282 "If suicide is committed with intention of setting an example, especially for the young, it also takes on the gravity of scandal. Voluntary cooperation in suicide is contrary to the moral law."

2283 "Grave psychological disturbances, anguish, or grave fear of hardship, suffering or torture can diminish the responsibility of the one committing suicide. We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives.   By ways known to him alone, God can provide the  opportunity for salutary repentance.  The Church prays for persons who take their own lives."
(The main following ideas and words are from a post by Semcha Fisher, 2014.) "The act itself of suicide is always grave matter, but for an action to be a mortal sin,the person must know it is grave matter and do it voluntarily. The modern Church understands that depression and other psychological disturbances are true illnesses which can significantly mitigate both a person understanding and free will.  Moreover even if  there seems no time for repentance before the end, we have no way to know what happens  between their soul and a merciful God, who wants to bring all His children home to Himself. This not to say we should assume that everyone who commits suicide becomes reconciled to God. All men and women are free to choose God or to reject Him, so it's wrong to presume that all souls are saved. On the contrary our faith in God's mercy commands us to pray for all the living and the dead. We have no right to presume  either that someone who has died is in Hell or (if he is not a saint) that he is in heaven. Prayer is always appropriate. Depression and mental illness are not a sign of personal sin but one of the many signs of weakness we all inherited when Adam sinned."

Please cherish your life!

Thank for reading my book. We are not suppose to presume that someone is in heaven; but I wrote the last 75 pages in a chapel in front of Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament: the Holy Eucharist and trust in His Spirit! Hitler may still be in purgatory in our time. I wrote about heaven's time...where one moment is like a thousand years...and a thousand years as a moment. Whatever is going to be already is. Or Hitler has completed 500 years of Purgatory. Those in purgatory have hope..are saved but need to be purified of their sins. This a story of God's Mercy
Which is Infinite. God bless you. Accept Jesus into your life and LIVE for Him!

Here's a poem I wrote in prediction of my daughter's first child: "Life is a gift to those yet unborn who are waiting and hoping for birth's bright morn. But some will never know this birth brigbt morn..will end in death's dark pail, will never know mother' warmth or crib's light lace or delicate vale---poor little aborted babes. (pointing to my daughter:) But for her who had a birth's  bright morn: she will grow and mature and become another giver of the gift. And with baby at breast, she will in grateful wonder while praying:  Dearest Lord of Life, You are the morning to me; be it dark or cold, windy, wet or bright, You are the warm light that awakens me. You are my inner glow that surrounds a treasure---Your beautiful presence within me. And how I love this beautiful treasure who create this beautiful Dawn within me. You are Morning to me. I must hasten -- run to meet the Morning that is you!

God bless you all, Pio
